YPK To Return to In Person Events

Dear YPK Community,

I am so excited to share that YPK is returning to in-person events!

This has been an unusual and hard year for all of us. Though I have been so inspired by our outstanding Board of Directors and our incredible members. Over the past 12 months - while similar organizations suspended or reduced programming - YPK has hosted over 40 high-quality and safe events to help our members connect, develop, and serve. It has been especially encouraging to see YPK members step up across Knoxville: finding new, creative ways to serve the community and help those in need.

As we look ahead at the coming months, YPK will begin transitioning to in-person events - while following all health and safety precautions - as well as continue to offer a mix of virtual and hybrid events to provide maximum flexibility to members.

Throughout April, YPK will be hosting Mini Meetups across our city. On May 19 - we’ll be having our first in-person General Membership Meeting of the year at Ijams Nature Center featuring the Tennessee Stage Company (you WON’T want to miss it). Looking further ahead, our Board is hard at work planning in-person versions of cherished annual traditions like the YPK Summer Party, Impact Awards Gala, and Leadership Certificate Program.

YPK has a 14-year history of being the premier organization for young professionals in Knoxville, and the future of YPK is bright. The entire Board and I can’t wait to see you at an upcoming event!

Sincerely,

Michael Smith-Porter
President
