Who is a leader you admire?

A leader I admire is Richard K. Davis, the former CEO of U.S. Bank. As an employee of U.S. Bank, I had the privilege of seeing his leadership style in action and the influence he had on others. He was always very clear with his purpose and vision for our company. He instilled us with a great sense of trust in the leadership and direction of our company and the ethical principles that guide us. He looked to the future and anticipated change. Mr. Davis was extremely passionate about what he did every day and that made him incredibly inspiring to listen to. He was someone people wanted to follow.

How do you think Young Professionals of Knoxville contributes to our community?

YPK allows young professionals an opportunity to build their networks, improve their leadership skills, and give back to the community. YPK also introduces their members to businesses and venues around the city that they may not have been familiar with. I think that being active in the community, both socially and through servitude, helps young professionals become more invested in the place we live and work. YPK invites people to experience all that Knoxville has to offer in the hopes that they will want to stay.

What has been your favorite memory with YPK?
I loved playing on the kickball team, it was a great way to meet people!
