Who is a leader you admire?
A local leader I admire is Randy Boyd. Yes he is my boss (haha) but he is also a great leader. Randy has done so much for his businesses while finding time to help his local community, from building dog parks around Knoxville to being involved in numerous non-profits. He is a man on a mission and I have learned so much from him over the last couple of years. He is a great person to work for and has showed me that you can be a business leader and a family man at the same time.
How do you think Young Professionals of Knoxville contributes to our community?
YPK is great for this community. It brings lots of young minds together to see how we can better serve and improve our community. From being someone who moved here and knew no one. YPK has been a great asset to me in finding relations with other young professionals, strengthening business relationships and making new friends. YPK plays a pivotal role in that time when your just getting your career and life started. Having other young professionals to communicate to and socialize with really helps young professionals in this community.
What has been your favorite experience with YPK?
Meeting so many great people. I have meet some fantastic people who are doing great things for their careers and our community. YPK Happy Hours are a great way to meet new people and to build new relationships. Going to all of our happy hours and General Membership meetings have been great for me personally and professionally.
What are you currently watching?
I am currently finishing up the Man in the High Castle and looking forward to the new season starting. I am also re-watching the last season of Game of Thrones in preparation for the new season! Which is going to be amazing as usual!
When you're not at work where can people find you?
At home with my family. I have a 22 month old so that keeps me very occupied when I’m not at work. We are either at a park playing or out walking around. I do enjoy going downtown and enjoying the restaurant scene and all the new local breweries.
