Linda Blocksom, Learning and Development Manager at Radio Systems
Radio Systems Corporation is the parent company of PetSafe® Brand, SportDOG® Brand, and Invisible Fence® Brand and are the leading manufacturer of electronic pet products. They are a global company with offices in Ireland, China, and Australia, but their global headquarters is right here in Knoxville. Radio Systems prides themselves on being an innovative, collaborative and forward thinking organization and they would love to show YPK who they are and what they do! (Did we mention they are one of the only corporations in Knoxville that allows our employees to bring dogs to work?)
It seems that every generation has been challenged as they try to understand, communicate and work with the generation behind them. At this point in our history, there are 4, if not 5 generations co-existing in the workplace, each with different values and perspectives on work and life. At this event, we will explore each generation to discover how their values were formed and what the impact of that is on work relationships, communication, coaching, recruiting, and more.
The presentation on Generational Differences will be led by Linda Blocksom. Linda came to Radio Systems in September, 2016 as the Learning & Development Manager, having spent the previous two years in Employee & Organizational Development at UT. Previously, she was the Training Director for the State of Minnesota for almost 20 years. Linda's favorite training projects are around leadership development and communication.
You will find visitor parking in front and to the left side of the building. If there are no vacant spaces, there is additional reserved parking for our guests in front of the corporate building at 10427 PetSafe Way. When you arrive, please enter the lobby and a teammate will be there to greet you. Please make yourself comfortable in the lobby while you wait!
