YPK and the Humane Society are asking you to lend a helping hand (or paw) for our upcoming Community Outreach event. During this volunteer opportunity, we will assist the shelter staff in various projects around the facility to help ensure a welcoming environment for the animals who currently call the shelter home. In addition to kennel prep and cleaning, we will finish out the day with a paw-some animal enrichment activity that includes playing with the puppies or cats/kittens. All participants must wear YPK shirt, closed toe shoes, and long pants.

We are also going to be doing a collection at the August Happy Hour. That way, we can deliver the items we collect when we do the volunteer event and it is a great photo opportunity that we have been looking for. We will be collecting: Scoopable cat liter, Purine One Puppy Food, Purina One Cat Food, Purina One Kitten food, and gallon plastic bags.
