KNOXVILLE, TN — The Young Professionals of Knoxville (YPK) are proud to announce the members voted to support Nourish Knoxville with their second annual Giving Brunch. This farm-to-table experience will take place on June 24, 2023, at the picturesque Strong Stock Farm in Knoxville, and is open to members, the public, and lovers of local food.
Only in its second year, the Giving Brunch has already become a much-anticipated event by young professionals interested in supporting a worthy cause. The YPK membership selected Nourish Knoxville, a local nonprofit organization that focuses on cultivating healthy communities by supporting relationships between local farmers, producers, and the public, from a list of five charities nominated by members at their winter General Membership Meeting in February.
"We are incredibly honored to be chosen by the YPK membership as their nonprofit beneficiary for this exciting event,” said Charlotte Tolley, Chief Executive Officer of Nourish Knoxville. “Nourish Knoxville, like most nonprofits, relies on the generosity and talent of a wide variety of volunteers and partners and we love seeing YPK members' commitment, heart, and skills being poured back into our community.”
The annual Giving Brunch is planned by volunteer members of YPK, providing opportunities for budding leaders to explore various aspects of supporting local charities and delivering a one-of-a-kind experience. Nestled along the Holston River, Strong Stock Farm offers breathtaking views of rolling pastures and woodlands, featuring the best of East Tennessee’s natural beauty. A southern-inspired, buffet-style brunch will be served on the porch of the farmhouse, complete with mimosas.
"We are thrilled to host such an important event that not only benefits our community but also introduces young professionals to the importance of charitable giving,” said YPK President, Grace Bennett. “Nourish Knoxville does incredible work in cultivating healthy communities that align with our values of connect, develop and serve. We are honored to support their mission through this fundraiser and invite everyone to join us for a delicious brunch.”
All proceeds from the event will go towards Nourish Knoxville's programs, which include supporting farmers' markets, children’s educational workshops, and the donation of fresh, locally grown produce. Guests can expect a beautiful venue, great food, and a unique opportunity to give back to the community. Tickets begin at $50 per person and can be purchased online at ypknox.com.
