Young Professionals of Knoxville is pleased to offer an annual Leadership Certificate Program that is unlike anything available for young professionals in East Tennessee. Designed by regional experts with leadership best-practice tools, the program equips young professionals with the skills to lead others and impact our community.
During the program, participants will learn how to set and achieve personal and professional goals, discuss leadership and what qualities make a good leader, and discover their own strengths to apply at work and in the community.

All applicants must:
Be a member of Young Professionals of Knoxville (Not a member? Apply now!)
Possess high standards of personal integrity
Agree to Leadership Certificate Program time commitment
Use their developing leadership skills and knowledge for the long-term benefit of the community.
ATTENDANCE
Program participants are expected to attend all sessions. However, exceptions (if urgent) can be made for participants to miss one session. The program is seven weeks, with two additional networking/volunteer opportunities, and concludes with a graduation ceremony. We highly recommend adding the dates to your calendar when you apply.
TUITION
Tuition for the Leadership Certificate Program is $200. The participant and/or employer/sponsor will be expected to pay tuition before the first session. Tuition covers all program costs, including food, assessments, and materials. Tuition is non-refundable in whole or part if the participant fails to complete the program. Limited scholarships are available where need is adequately demonstrated. Candidates interested in applying for financial assistance should submit a one-page document stating the amount requested and the reason for the request. PROGRAM DATES
The 2024 Leadership Certificate cohort will meet on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 - 7:30 beginning May 29, 2024, through July 31, 2024. This includes an optional, but encouraged, social hour and volunteer activity.
To apply, please complete this application and attach a current resume by May 1, 2024. Your application will be reviewed and voted on by the Leadership Certificate selection committee.
