5 Things to Know About YPK Business Memberships

About Young Professionals of Knoxville

Young Professionals of Knoxville (YPK) is the largest, premier group for young professionals in Knoxville and exists to connect and develop leaders and to serve our community. In addition to quarterly general membership meetings there are 30+ events each year focusing on social, professional development, and community outreach. As a 501(c)(6) nonprofit, YPK operates under the leadership of a 19-member Board of Directors and 9 committees that members can join to move forward the organization’s mission.

5 THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT YPK Business Memberships:

  1. Businesses with 5 or more YPK Members receive 20% off new members’ dues. Membership includes access to all YPK benefits: exclusive professional development events, networking opportunities with peers and community leaders, as well as avenues to serve the Knoxville community. After the initial new members’ dues in the first year (discounted to $160 per membership), the membership fee each subsequent year is $100 per membership invoiced yearly to your organization.

  2. Memberships stay with the organization. The business has complete control over the organization’s YPK memberships. If an employee leaves or another employee in the company could get better use out of the YPK experience – the membership can be easily transferred to another employee within the company.

  3. It’s great exposure for your business! Companies are listed as a partner on the YPK website and receive a choice of one social media post or e-newsletter announcement of the Business Membership. In addition, YPK Members’ digital directory business cards feature company logos and taglines. Members can also submit company promotions and events in the YPK monthly e-blast as well as post jobs on the jobs board.

  4. It’s a great investment in your employees. “I think YPK -is- community,” said YPK President-Elect Rikki Bringe Frost. “For me, it combines all of the things that I want out of my career: Helping people, growing and learning, creating relationships, and expanding possibilities.”

  5. Your employees will be more invested in and better connected to the Knoxville community. “Young Professionals of Knoxville has a 14-year history of developing passionate leaders who give back to the Knoxville community,” YPK President Michael Smith-Porter said. “YPK helps connect young professionals to each other as well as introduces members to nonprofits and leaders in Knoxville who are impacting our city.”
