Who is a leader you admire?

Nationally I admire Barack Obama a man with dignity. The compassion he expresses for all and staying in the race to endure the end. A family man that touches the heart of many people. I watched Obama deliver a eulogy in Charleston for the pastor that lost his life this demonstrated true humbleness. He's wise in his speech, conduct, and faith. A good God fearing man that happens to have swag!

Locally I admire all the great people at Mt. Zion Baptist church. We have a great church family that happens to be some of the smartest, dedicated people in Knoxville. They have touched my life in so many ways. I look to them and say to myself I can do all things through Christ that gives me strength! 

How do you think Young Professionals of Knoxville contributes to our community?

YPK is the future of leading companies to success, and we inspire other young professionals.

What has been your best memory with YPK?

My best memory of YPK was last year when I won the 2017 Impact Award. It was an amazing feeling to be honored with such a prestigious award. I knew that I was nominated, but never thought I would win. I did it! I love YPK!

How has YPK impacted you?

YPK has opened doors for me, and allowed me to meet amazing people like Rob Petrone who has inspired me to follow my dreams. Nita Sexton that will go out of her way to help anyone. Alan Moore who allowed young professionals to be developed and use their talents.

What are you currently reading, watching, and listening to?

I'm currently reading Leadership by Hackman Johnson, Strength Finders by Tom Rath, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Powerful Lessons in Personal Changes by Stephen Covey. I love all types of music & my teenagers keep me up on things! I love reality shows! 

When you're not at work where can people find you?

When I'm not at work I'm you can find me at school, church, volunteering, getting my children ready for graduation, being a mom! I'm a busy bee 🐝 and never miss a beat! I'm everywhere all the time! I'm a getter done girl!
